NID Entrance Exam 2016 seat matrix

A prestigious design college, National Institute of Design (NID) was established in 1961. The official website informs that this design college has now been conferred the status of “Institute of National Importance by the Act of the Parliament by virtue of the National Institute of Design Act 2014”.        

NID has campuses at Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Bengaluru. In order to secure admissions in any design programme offered at any of the campuses of NID, aspirants have to clear the NID Entrance Exam.

The entrance test conducted by NID is in three levels, here, first of all candidates have to appear for NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT). If one is able to clear this exam, then they are eligible to appear for NID’s Situation test followed by the interview round.

Total seats available for Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes offered at NID are 100 and for Master of Design (MDes) the seats available for admissions are 275 in number. However, seats available for different design specialisations offered at NID are as mentioned below:
